The stories of the three campaigns are independent of each other. Playing as the Alien, the player begins by defending the nest from a group of marines. After this, the player must stealthily board a human ship, the Ferarco. When the Ferarco's self-destruct system is activated, the player must escape on a ship, reaching the Gateway Space Station. After exploring the ship and fighting more marines, the player must board a ship bound for Earth, but not before having one last fight against two predators.
