Mighty No. 9 is a 2D side-scrolling Japanese action game that takes the best elements of the 8 and 16-bit classics that you know and enjoy so much and transforms them, thanks to modern technology, new mechanics gameplay and fan contributions, into something new and amazing. In the game, you are Beck, the ninth in a series of powerful robots, and the only one who has not been infected with a computer virus that has caused the world's mechanical creatures to go crazy. Run, jump, explode and transform your way through nine initial levels that you will have to face in any order you want (plus three additional later levels) using weapons and abilities that you have stolen from your enemies to take down the other robots like You, the Mighty Number, and face the ultimate evil that threatens the planet. Every aspect of the development of Mighty No. 9 (graphics, level design, music, programming, etc.) is in the hands of Japanese developers with extensive experience in the genre and so much so that even the head of the project, Keiji Inafune is a participant in it.
