Silent Hill follows Rose Da Silva, a mother whose adopted daughter, Sharon, is plagued by sleepwalking and nightmares in which she repeatedly calls out the name “Silent Hill.”
Believing the mysterious town may hold answers, Rose takes Sharon there despite her husband Christopher’s reservations.

While they’re en route, Rose is involved in a car accident after swerving to avoid someone on the road, and when she wakes up, Sharon has disappeared. They have entered a strange alternate version of Silent Hill, wrapped in fog, ash, and filled with unsettling, supernatural phenomena.

Rose is joined by Cybil Bennett, a local police officer who becomes involved in the bizarre events. As Rose searches for Sharon, she uncovers the dark history of Silent Hill: a cult, a tragedy involving a young girl named Alessa Gillespie, and the burning coal mine fire that forced the town’s abandonment.
